HILDITCH GROUP WINS QUEENS AWARD FOR ENTERPRISE!
This award recognises the year on year increase in exports by the Hilditch Group and confirms our position as market leaders for the sale of medical and other related equipment.
Mike & Nicky Hilditch are absolutely delighted, and are very excited about the prospect of visiting Buckingham Palace to receive the award.
The award judges recognised the hard work of the sales and marketing team promoting sales to overseas customers, sales to outside the UK account for over 80% of turnover. The judges were also impressed by the level of customer service at the salerooms. All this, of course, means that if you are one of our vendors you can be sure that you are getting the very best prices for your equipment possible.

ART AT HILDITCH
Our new offices are perfect for displaying art from contempory artists and we have recently acquired paintings from a range of exciting artists.
In our foyer are 2 paintings by Jonathan Woolfenden entitled "Bush Telegraph" & "Black & White & Red all over". Jonathan is a West Country artist who takes his inspiration from the Brixham fishing fleet & his pictures are almost Impressionist in style. He has recently returned from Belize where he painted brilliantly colourful scenes of the local dockyard known as Crocodile Dock. We have aquired one of these for our Training Room.
|
Colin Brown is a scottish artist who is currently using the medium of collage to celebrate the spirit of modern culture by pulling together random elements and fragments into closely controlled compositions.
We have four collages by Colin all featuring contemporary icons, the latest aquistion is called 'The Dude' with scenes from the Coen brothers 1998 film 'The Big Lewbowski' which is one of our favourite films of all time!'

Yvonne Coomber is an artist from Devon who produces vibrant, colourful pictures of flowers inspired by the beauty of Dartmoor. The ladies in the Front Office particularly like her exuberant use of shimmering, metallic paints because it inspires in them a deep inner contentment & appreciation of nature, contextualised in the brightness of the flowers - & it matches their handbags!!
|
Helen Ward creates unique & exquisite insect collages out of antique book fly leaves & old pages of text (using redundant books only!). In this picture called "Paper Entomology" the detail is incredible and the shadows cast by the shapes adds another dimension to the picture.
|
In our offices the exubert & sensuous energy of artist Louise Dear bursts out of her pictures "Loving You " & "You & Me Forever". Louise has a gallery in Totnes, Devon and has exhibited throughout the UK as well as New York. She loves marmite!
|
Ken Currie is one of the New Glasgow Boys. His paintings are often concerned with how the human body is affected by illness, aging & physical injury. In this painting, what seems to be an innocuous white bowl takes on a new meaning when you discover the title of the piece is 'Surgeons Basin' - nice table though!
