Our on-line bidding system is now up and running - 2008 will see 2 regular on-line sales a month with occasional specialist on-line sales. You can now also bid live on selected catering sales.  Just log on from your home or office, follow the proceedings and bid when the fancy takes you!

New Staff

Mark Lewis New offices require more new staff however we have been very lucky to entice Mark Lewis back as Company Accountant.  Mark was with us for 8 years before leaving for 3 years but he couldn’t stay away.

New Medical Electronics Department

Tony Petrou As well as Mark we also welcome Tony Petrou, having done a long stint in NHS Medical Electronics Departments, most recently at Northampton General Hospital, he now joins us to set up our very own medical electronics department.  This will greatly enhance the services we are able to offer to vendors and purchasers.

Recycling of your Waste (WEEE Regulations)

We will be expanding our waste recycling service in 2008.  Already we are handling waste electronic equipment from over 20 Trusts with more coming on board every week - Don’t get caught out by unscrupulous waste management companies - it really is not that expensive to dispose of WEEE and if you use us to sell your working equipment you will easily offset any recycling costs.

News

We are pleased to announce another returning member of staff joining us at the beginning of July; Anna Partridge who will be joining us as Company Administrator / PA to the directors.

Both Anna and Tony will be involved in the work of the Amalthea Trust, Anna will be assisting in fund raising and raising the profile of the charity whilst Tony will be responsible for all aspects of training. He has his work cut out! One of the first priorities is to devise training courses for overseas engineers, identify suitable test equipment for shipping to our designated projects and managing progress. Although working for the charity both Anna's and Tony's wages will be payed by The Hilditch Group of Companies. We are continuing to put 1% of Hilditch Medical Commissions directly into the charity's funds.

Most excitingly of all however is the great news that we are close to agreeing to funding for our first project assisting a hospital in Kampala with their Medical Engineering Department. We hope this may also lead onto the establishment of our first medical engineering school.

We will be posting any further news on this exciting development as soon as we are able to so keep your eyes peeled and bookmark this site to keep yourself up to date.
